Her-Story
My passion for music began
in the orange and brown-
upholstered study of my parent's
house in Albany, Oregon.
Although my first memory was
of my cat, Misty, my second memory
consisted of making music in that room
with my family. My father, Frank,
would play harmonica while finger-
picking his 12-string guitar and
singing the tunes of Peter Paul
and Mary, Gordon Lightfoot and
John Denver in his lyrical tenor
voice...
My Mom, Judy, would sing a lovely
supporting mezzo-harmony while
my seester, Charlene and I would
sing the third harmony above her
while playing various percussive
instruments.
Music became my first love, my
sanctuary and my favorite way
of expression--music is my
primary language.

I then began performing
as a vocalist at the age
of three and eventually, I obtained
12 years of private study
as a vocalist and 15 years
as a pianist. I received
a B.A. in Music from Oregon
State University and did
graduate studies in Vocal
Performance and Opera
at The San Francisco
Conservatory of Music.
I have performed as a
vocal soloist in:
the OSU Opera Workshop,
the OSU Chamber Choir,
OSU Corvallis Symphony Orchestra,
the Opera Theater Corvallis,
the San Francisco Conservatory
of Music Baroque Orchestra,
the San Francisco Conservatory Baroque,
and the 18 Piece Big Band,
The Bob Saul Orchestra.
I had the opportunity
to take a Choral Tour of
China and solo on Chinese
National Television. Also, I
did a concert tour of Japan with
Integrity Music’s Marty Nystrom.
In 2003, I joined the 18-piece
Big Band called the Bob Saul
Orchestra, where I quickly picked
up a repertoire of swing and Latin
vocals.
After teaching for three years
on the North Coast of California
for the Castle Rock School
district and for the Humboldt State
University Music Academy in
Arcata, California, I was ready to
return to the Bay Area, where I dove into
new projects and opportunities.
This includes a recording project with
artist/producer,Tim Preut in a group
called Loti: . The debut album is called
"Shattered Boxes" and can be purchased
at my web Store.
Now I am happy to continue my musical
journey with ~~Open Door~~
An Art rock band who formed last May
and has already given multiple concerts of
my own original music and leads
worship regularly all over the bay.
